Gloves probably aren't a bad idea since you're working with chemicals, but not absolutely necessary. Yes, both sides of the towel are the same. They tell you that less is more with regards to amounts, so I would say one drop per area would be fine, although sometimes it takes 6 or 7 applications until the scratches are completely gone.

It usually takes me about half and hour to 45 mins. I use medium pressure, but I'm a pretty big guy, so just be sure to press firmly and use small circles.
