Syncing Issues!

Whenever I try to sync a large number of songs into my 5G, I get a friendly "Can't read to disk" message after a few hundred songs. Re-updating works out, but it's annoying having to keep doing that.
Is this a software or hardware issue?

i use to get that with mine but that was because i had itunes setup to automatically sync to ipod. I got around it by restoring my ipod and then selecting "manually manage" when you get the options in itunes when it first picks up the ipod (where it asks you for ipods name and stuff).

All i do now is have it so it auto-syncs to all my playlists (i have my music split into genres using playlists) and now i no longer get that error that you get. This way it still auto-syncs to ALL of my music using playlists.

What you can do is create playlists, arrange them however you want (eg. albums, artists, genres.....) and then in itunes choose the option to auto-sync to ALL of those playlists. Like this its still auto-syncing to your music without the error
