Songs not showing up.....
To view songs by artist, I go: Music->Artist->All Albums->All Songs
Now, onto the Video. If I search for a song by going through the "Artist" menu, and that artist has only one album in my library, but has many other songs not on any albums, the menu goes straight from "Artist", to the songs within the album, completely ignoring all of the other songs I have associated with that artist. The only way to access all of the other songs offered by that artist is to directly press play on the artist name, straight fom the top of the "Artist" menu of the iPod.
So, if a particular artist has only one album among many songs (which aren't in albums), my iPod Video works as such:
Music->Artist->Album Songs
When entering the "Artist" menu, and taken to the "All Albums" menu, there should be a selection at the top where you can select "All". Meaning, it'll display all songs, whether or not they're listed in albums. That's the way it should work. Not every song you might have for an artist is in an album. You could have singles, or unreleased tracks that were never included in any album. Like a remix, or something. I really don't wanna start ghosting albums. It ruins the integrity of my catalog, you know? As far as I know, this is a defect. Is there anyone with a Video that's experiencing this as well? Does anyone experience this on a Nano? Is it a new iPod thing?
The same goes if I search by "Genre", by the way.
I really don't think this is a new "shortcut"-type feature on the Video, so I hope I don't get any responses that confirm that. I think this is a firmware defect, or oversight. I have two Videos (60GB, Black). They both perform in the same way. Is anyone else experiencing this? Thanks for the read.
