Headphone port - RCA cable?
I'm sure that this is still compatible but I want to make sure before I sell my 4G and upgrade. I have a car set-up using a Blitzsafe adapter connected to my CD charger and then I basically plug a RCA cable directly into the iPod headphone port to have it play through my stereo system. Nothing in this set-up would have to change for the 5G right?

You are simply converting from a standard mini stereo jack to twin RCA cables. If the new iPod accepts standard headphones with a mini stereo jack (which it does) then your converter cable should still work. Apple would be fools to make the new iPod that only accepts non-standard headphones (or in your case RCA converters)

The quick answer is yes, it will and does work.
awheewall: Apple can't remove this functionality while maintaining the 3.5mm form factor.
