Can we get a fingerprint update on the new black/white iPods?
Is the fingerprinting worse on the black model than it is on the white? Im guessing its too soon for a scratch report, but im curious on how "smudgy" they get.

Seems like people have no common sense. any shiny surface will smudge.
A black shiny surface will create 100,000,000,000,000 more glare than a shiny white surface.
Have you people never experienced this with your tv if its by a window? Or while driving your car?

I doubt the average age here would not have the ability to own a car let alone drive.

Black shows wear much more than white does. I believe that might have been a factor why the original iPods were only available in white. This helped "hide" what we now know to be true: the iPod surface scratches at the mere though of touching it.

I've had my 5G 30 GB White ipod for two days now and I already have some scratches. It scratches very easily, so I would suggest keeping it in the free case that came with it.

As soon as I pick mine up, I am going to do with it as I did with my three previous iPods...PDA screen protector is going to be slapped right on it, right away.

Do you use the PDA protector on just the iPod screen or the whole unit (i.e. lay it over the scroll wheel)?
Also, I'm curious what it does to the aesthetics of the iPod and whether it dulls the unit in a plastic haze any moreso than something like the Invisishield would.
thanks.

Just on the screen...and then I usually use an iSkin...and no, it does not haze the screen.
