iPod video sound distorsion ?
Hi Guys,
i've seen that on apple store can still be purchased an AV cable for the 5th generation... This mean that new ipod still has video output inside the earphone jack... and i think this could still cause again sound distorsion on piano solos...
am i right ? or i'm just speaking at the wind ?
Thanks a lot...

# 1 Re: iPod video sound distorsion ?
Two facts:
- Apple know about the iPod colour/photo sound distortion issue, though never admitted a fault.
- The 5G comes out only a few months after the colours, the colours have not really sold that well.
So? Apple would be really daft not to fix the issue, they need it to be extremely successful and propably have released the 5G video because they were well aware that the photo/colour problem couldn't be fixed (hence also the price drops a few months back, and stores really trying to get rid of the photo!). To release the 5G video with the same fault would be almost criminal - the photo/colour problem was/is severe (anyone who claims it doesn't exist is telling porkies, unless somehow they've solved it through some sort of tinkering).
Really looking forward to decent reviews on the 5G video, but really I've never actually seen a review, online or in print that recognises the colour/photo problem, so if the 5G video had the same prob they would probably not notice or just gloss over it. Hopefully one of the first guys on this forum to get a 5G video can really put it through its paces on the sound distortion issue. If it's solved I'm buyin'!!!!! I know it was piano that people cited as 'good' to test the distortion issue, but the first 5G video guys should test something with plenty of trumpet - just sounds dire on the photos/colours...
