New Ipod going to devalue older models?
i was just on the refurbed part of apples site, where they list a 30GB color model still for $299. and thats refurbed.
you think they will go through and lower all the older model prices accordingly?
this might be my chance to get that 3G i've always wanted.....

i know some resellers here in aus have already reduced the retail of the iPod photos ie was AU$449 for a 20Gb iPod photo, now AU$379.
so ring and ask - i'm sure they will want to move old stock, but not sure how much more they will take off refurbs.

You want a like-new 30GB? <shameless plug> Check out my eBay auction in my sig, it comes in the original box, with an iSkin, with a photo dock, with a clear iSkin zipper pouch, a USB 2.0 cable, a firewire cable with travel charger, in absolutely perfect condition with not a scratch on it. That's around $100 worth of accessories and a like-new 30GB photo in the original box.

well, i was just using the 30GB photo as an example, the fact that they list a refurbed one for 299, while the new IPOD(with video capabilites :) ) list for the same price.
although, i still took the liberty of bidding on it for ya, its not much, but it'll get ya started. lol
looks like a great package.
while im here, can i ask you a question? ive never actually bought anything off of ebay before, now i do have the money, but how do i transfer that money to you? say if i bought your ipod?
i've heard of paypal, but im not sure how it works.
thanks for any help there too.

Thanks for bidding! LOL
PayPal is pretty nice for things like this. You sign up an account with them and can connect several financial sources to it -- primarily your bank account, but also credit cards as back-ups. You put in your bank account number and routing number, and PayPal will make two small deposits in your account. Once they show up on your statement, you enter the exact amounts into PayPal to confirm you own those accounts. Then you can make and receive payments directly from your bank account. So if you bought my iPod, you would initiate a payment to my email address (that's how the accounts are identified), and that payment would show up in my PayPal balance. I then have the option of transferring that balance into my bank account. They have a bunch of buyer protection policies and stuff that let you get your money back under certain circumstances; just go to their web site and read some of their FAQs.

thanks for that great info, ive never seen it written out so easy to understand.
i will go right now and sign up for pay pal. it does work with debit/checking accounts right? thats the only account i have, that and a savings. i just use that with my direct deposit from work.
again, thanks for that great info.

Yeah it works with debit/checking accounts. That's what I use.
