video iPod is smaller than iPod photo.

Photo's look deceiving. At first glance the new video iPod looks wider and larger than previous 4th gen photo iPods.

I did a check of the specs and the new ipod is same width and length, however it's thinner and lighter, and has a larger screen.

The 60 gig version is about an ounce lighter than the previous 60g iPod Photo.

And....

We all knew it was thinner. They weren't trying to trick us here.

I'm merely pointing out the illusion the larger screen creates. It looks a lot wider and larger but isn't. :D

The smaller click wheel is what makes it look wide.

thanx for clearing this up actually, I was wondering why this new iPod seemed wider. I checked the specs of the new one and of the old one and they do match.

So yea, ya'll right, the smaller click wheel and flat front makes it look wider.

With that in mind, i may purchase it... anybody wants to buy a used 4th gen 20gb? =)

it's not a vpod. it's not an ipod video. it's an ipod.

the actual 'ipod video' will come out when there is a market for downloadable legal video beyond music videos and a couple tv shows.(i.e. movies)
