30Gb versus 60Gb

At 60Gb, there's better battery life..but it'd cost me an extra $152 CDN to get the 60Gb over the 30Gb.

I'm worried about running out of space, but I don't know if I will. Can you guys give me some feedback as to how much of your iPod's space you use and why it's that full (ex: more so cuz of excess file storage, really HQ rips from CDs etc.)

I wanted a 60Gb..but now, I'm thinking 30Gb will suffice. Help please.

Well if it's any consolation, the 30 gig is thinner and lighter than the 60. Although it's only 14 hours instead of 20 hours playback.

I use almost 4 gigs of mine right now, and it Isn't increasing much.

Honestly, I think 30gb is plenty.

I have about 120GB in my music collection if they were evenly converted to 192kbs MP3 format (I have OGG ACC and such now)

If you are going to be watching TV shows and getting those music videos off iTunes, you will run out of space depending on the file sizes. But if you are a practical person, you could manage your collection easily and not worry about running out of space. I don't carry around my music collection all the time and listen to only a few songs a day that I actually like.

yea i agree...

some of us are really indecisive (me included) and would like to have every friggin' music file we own in the palm of our hands, ALL the time...

not to mention movie files tend to get HUGE...

so speaking for myself...i would need a 60gb.

i've got a 30g ipod photo now and i've only got 2G of free space.
and that's just mainly music. i've only got a few pics, not much.

but only you know exactly what you need...
if you've only got 4g of music now...30g should be plenty.

I didn't see any support for the ogg standard on the apple website.

Should I assume that Itunes will play ogg files, but the ipod will not?
