We'll make this a tradition. The nano showed how popular a black version of an ipod can be (outsells white version a lot), so steve decided to have a full sized black ipod.

Black! White is SOO overrated!But it won't matter which one I want because:
1) I'm broke.
2) Both will get scratches just by looking at them.
The poor want to be stylish too!! :(

Black, by popular demandI actually am getting the white due to less noticable scratches (im clumsy when it comes about things getting scratched) but the black still looks nicer.

I like the look of the black one - BUT if it's anything like my black notebook computer, and to a lesser extent my sony psp, then black tends to show up smudgy fingerprints and scratches too much. Still I like black, but I'd want to hold one in real life before deciding.
