JBL OnStage v Logic3 iStation v Altec iM3?

Hi! I'm looking for portable speakers for my husband for his birthday. I'm trying to decide between the OnStage, the Logic3 iStation and the Altec Lansing iM3. All seem to have favorable reviews. The Logic3 is cheapest, at around $80, the OnStage seems to be around $100 and the iM3 around $140.

Any thoughts on which are best? This is going to be for general use in our apartment but also for travel, so light and portable are helpful.

Thanks!

Logitech mm50 is better, but its also 150 bucks.
the klipsch 2.0's are still better yet, and only 100 bucks, but dont have an ipod dock so you'll need to use the line in.

I have the On Stage speakers and I feel they are outstanding. 6W is enough for me to be able to hear them at the other end of the house. They also make a great dock. :D

The Logitech mm50 is the BEST portable option out there right now, IMHO. I have tried all of those you listed, and the mm50 has not only the best sound by far, but it is the only one of the group that has a built-in rechargeable battery, making it truly portable without having to carry along a supply of "AA" batteries...

It also functions as a dock, charges your iPod when plugged in to AC power, and has an aux in port and a pass-thru dock connector to hook to your computer. Also includes a remote (On Stage does not, unless it is the new On Stage II, but that one still has no battery...) and a hard shell carrying case.

Granted the mm50's are a bit more than the other competitors, but they are well worth the $$$...

Guess which one I bought... ;-)

My vote would be for the Altec Lansing inMotion iM3.
