i-Deck

Does anybody have an i-deck, and if so what is their opinion? My wife wants to get me one for my birthday and based on the reviews on the internet it looks good. Thanks in advance.

Well I now have the i-deck from Monitor Audio and what a truly excellent piece of kit it is. It is beautifully made and the sound is amazing, much better that Bose SoundDock which I had a demonstration of in a Bose store. It definately deserves it's five stars from What Hi-Fi Sound and Vision.

Monitor audio is a "real" speaker company, expect good products from them.

Do you know how much the unit is in the states?

You can now buy them on-line @ http://www.i-deckusa.com/catalog/i-deck.html - they are $349. In England they are 250 which is the same cost as the Bose so it's not a difficult decision.

By the way I have no affiliation with Monitor Audio - just stumbled across their advert in gadget/audio mags for the i-deck. All the reviews have been very favourable too. Just waiting for the cradles for the iPod nano and 5G iPod to be made available as accessories, although when available I guess they will ship them with the i-deck (along with the other 5 cradles).
