thts sux, they dont ship to canada.. and this is one of the only cases i was interested in :( :
At this time, KeychainPod.com ships merchandise only to locations within the United States and not to international locations. The risk of loss and title for all merchandise ordered on this Web site pass to you when the merchandise is delivered to the shipping carrier.

i think they're a bit big, and i would get annoyed driving around with that thing beating against my dash.

# 6 Re: A-1 iKeychain cases
If you like it, wait a little while. There are going to be TONS of cases available shortly. China's good for that sort of thing... ;)

does anyone know of another metal case available? i wanted this one because it suits my needs (college). Im worried about the iPod getting damaged in a rubber or silicone skin while its in my bag or jacket pocket. I need something that doesnt 'give'

I prefer them skins from iskin.com
# 10 Re: A-1 iKeychain cases
I'm going to order one of these in the next few days. I'm waiting back for an email to see if they have black/black.
For you Canada people, if you have Paypal accounts and want to take the risk, I'll order what you want and them ship them to you.
This is the classiest/best case I've seen so far and it would suck to not be able to order it.
Let me know.

They look pretty sweet to me...
# 12 Re: A-1 iKeychain cases
I went ahead and ordered one of these. I was going to get all black, but then looked at them again and went with black-front/polished-back. That kind of mimics what the nano looks like.
And they said that they *are* acception orders from Canada (not sure about other countries). The website just isn't set up for it yet. You just need to call/email them about your order and they'll set it up by email.
Just be warned that they're really swamped in the customer service department. I still haven't gotten an email back from a couple of days ago about whether they had black/black. I had to call.
Talked to a really nice guy named Joe who was very helpful.
Good luck!

Don't know. When I was computing ground shipping from me to Canada, it came to about $10. So maybe $15? Just a guess.
They charged me $10 S&H for parcel post.

Got my iKeychain for my nano today. Pretty sweet. Not sure if it's 54.95-shipped-sweet, but it's close. It's pretty much exactly what I wanted except for the hold switch is covered up.
I ride my motorcycle with music all the time and sometimes the volume would go up or down if the scrollwheel would get bumped. Hence, the hold switch. Hopefully with the wheel being recessed now, it won't get jostled as much. It'll be a pain if I have to open it every time I turn it off and on while riding.
I'll post pictures in a few hours when I get home.
Oh yeah - I got the black front/polished back to match my nano. Nice!

Whoops! Got busy at work. I'll try to take some tonight.
I like everything about the case except that the inside of the case seems to have scratched up the front of my nano in a few spots. Nothing major, but kind of a pain. It seems to be more like contact spots right at the bottom of the scroll wheel.
I'll try to get a picture.

How long did it take to ship? I ordered it on the 30th, and I haven't heard from them.

What color did you order? I know they were out of blue when I called.
I ordered on Wednesday afternoon, using parcel post. They called me at 10:00 that night (not kidding) to make sure the order was right because there was some confusion. She said she had upgraded it to priority mail (fine with me!) and it was going in the mail. I got it on Monday.
You might want to call them. I emailed them twice and never got replies, but had good conversations with Joe on the phone.
They're really nice, I just think they're getting slammed.

I haven't had any issues with the case opening. Like the other guy said, it took a hard slam to the floor to make it open. It's not just going to pop open, if that's what you're worried about. It's a great case. :)

Forgot to answer this one. Yes, the front is black anodized. The back has some mild scuff marks, but not any real scratches. It's holding up as well as I would have expected...

# 23 Re: A-1 iKeychain cases
Well, you're right Opus, that calling them is a lot better than emailing. The guy said that they just got a batch of the chrome backings in, and they'll be sending it out today. Sounds kinda shady to me, but as long as I get it, I don't care.
Also, general question, what's inside the case? Is there a lining? I'm thinking of putting on the Invisible Shield on the nano. Will it fit? Thanks.

There's nothing inside the case at all, just pure metal. The nano moves around just a bit, so I think there'd be plenty of room for a vinyl-type lining.
Yeah, they're kind of iffy on the professionalism bit. I called late Friday and also on Monday, and both times they had their calls transferred to some guy's cell phone. Kind of funny.

# 25 Re: A-1 iKeychain cases
Thanks Opus. I didn't know that the inside isn't lined. That's sorta disappointing, as I would think that a neoprene lining would be a good addition. Oh, well.

How long do these guys take to reply to e-mails? Also, I see two or three different e-mail addresses. Which one am I supposed to write to?

I'd call. I never got a response to email. Seriously.

# 28 Re: A-1 iKeychain cases
I got good responses when I called, but never got a peep when I went through email. It turned out that my case was missing a magnet, and the representative first tried to get me to ship it back without getting a replacement first. I talked her into sending me a replacement with a mailing envelope to return the defective one, as is usual for a lot of web stores. She apologized and said that they're still getting the return policy down pat and that I was the first to request an exchange.
BTW, the case is really attractive, but I have two small scratches on my nano because of it: 1 just below the screen and 1 just below the clickwheel. I've ordered displex to get the scratches out and I've got the invisibleshield to apply afterwards. In fact, if the invisibleshield works as well as they say, I just may go with that and throw $50 down the drain.
# 29 Re: A-1 iKeychain cases
Calling is definitely the way to go. I just got my ikeychain just now and called them. The lady on the phone was very polite. She said the same thing about being the first person to request an exchange. Well, anyway, she asked for a credit card number (since I payed with PayPal). It seems their policy is to send the new one with a return envelope. Great customer service. If you call.
# 30 Re: A-1 iKeychain cases
Well, after coming back to this post I realized I never posted any images. Oh well.
1) I really like my case. Except:
2) The inside of the case scratched the nano. =(
3) The case just paid for itself. I was moving some monitors around on my desk and accidentally sat one down on my nano. It's a huge, heavy 21 inch Dell. But, no problem! hehe.
