iTunes 5 and Updater wont install
I am using a 30 GB iPod photo and when I try to update my ipod, the button that says update won't appear and I haven't already updated it.
Also, when I try to install itunes 5, it says that some files were corrupted and I need to try downloading it again. I download it again, and the same thing happens.
Please help me!

This very thing happened to me several times today! Frustrating as **ll! Then a little box that said iTunes and Quicktime kept popping up and wouldn't go away. Also, you cannot delete the new iTunes setup file either - it kept saying Access Denied. I had to keep rebooting to get rid of the dialogue box. There clearly is something wrong with the file, in my nbho! Did you also get a message about a digital signature couldn't be verified? Here is how I solved it after much huffing and puffing - I went to Start-Settings-Control Panel-System-Hardware-Driver Signing and clicked the Ignore button and then ok. I disabled my Virus protection and went to the Quicktime part of the Apple site, not the iTunes part and downloaded Quicktime 7 and it automatically downloaded iTunes 5 successfully. So, in a round about way, I was able to get it. If you are concerned, you can go and switch back to the original setting in the System part of the Control Panel after a successful install. Hope this helps! Clearly, something is wrong with the new iTunes.

I should qualify my previous reply by stating that I did not have a problem with the updater. I did not even have an ipod connected at the time. I use iTunes at work to listen to different stuff, check out podcasts, etc. I also have a non-Apple mp3 player I use to listen to stuff through iTunes.
