This device from Monitor Audio, an English company, claims to bypass the internal digital-to-audio converter (DAC) in the ipod and use its own superior DAC. saturdayaudio.com/i-deck.htm (Sorry, forum won't let me post the full url, because I'm not an "established member".) Which leads to my question - is there a cable I can use that plugs into the ipod dock connector and gives me access to the digital stream so I can use my own DAC? Or a DIY way to do it?
