Is this Right?

OK, i'm getting ready to buy an ipod today for the first time, but want to make sure that I have this correct.

If i go to any place (Circuit City probably) and buy just the box (20 gb iPod) and nothing else:

1. I get 1 free year of Applecare service, right?

2. How do I get that year? Is there something to send in? Register on the web?

3. I can purchase another year on 06/08/2006 at a discount, right? How do I do that? This is the one i'm not sure of. Circuit City has a 2yr Applecare warranty for $69US, but they say i have to purchase it within the first 30 days.

thanks for all the help.

call apple tech support and get the apple care
$59 US
you get 2 years tech support,
2 years warrenty
2 years fees paid by apple
you will get screwed over with anything else because apple tech support is fee based, with the apple care protection plan you get 2 years of tech support
