exclamation/folder and ipod keeps restarting on me so comp cant recognize it
I'm having a similar problem to what a lot of people are, but my ipod will come on, so it is charged, but when I turn it on, it shows the apple, then goes to the folder/exclamation point, and restarts again. When I force scan disk, it shows up in my computer, but thats it, not itunes, updater, or anapod and in my computer I get an error msg if I try opening it. So I've got the exclamation point and the computer not recognizing it. I haven't heard any talk on what to do about this one, so if anyone can help it'd be greatly apprieciated.

Hi, and welcome to the site. When you say you can force scan disk, does that mean you are able to get the ipod into disk mode? If so, follow the steps at the website I'll give you. If it doesn't work, it's most likely a problem with the HDD, and it'll need to be repaired.
