Before I buy questions

Forgive me if I inadvertantly break any forum rules.
I think this is appropriate forum...

I am about to buy an iPod - first MP3-type player for me. I'm looking at either the 20gb 'standard' iPod or the 30Gb Photo.
I run Windows XP

But I cannot seem find the answer to these simple questions:

1. How easy is it to use the iPod to store normal computer files? Am I better off using something like Anapod for that kind of function?

2. How readable are the mono and colour screens in daylight? I have a colour Nokia phone, and the screen is useless in daylight!

3. Funny question, but do the controls allow for 'cueing'and 'reviewing' back and forth in a sound file? Explaination: I'll be using the iPod more for listening to spoken material rather than songs.

Thanks!

1) I find it fairly easy. Basically copy and paste watever is needed onto ipod through windows explorer

2) never used photo.

3) They seem pretty easy to me. All you woudl have to do is click the center button in either once or twice to mod where you are in the song.

Well i have a 30GB photo and i find the screen is very readable in the daylight, when the backlight is on that is. Once the backlight turns off forget it.

I find the monoscreen in my 20 gig perfectly readable in daylight.

Thanks for your reply (and all the others!) - can you elaborate a little on your answer to the 'cueing' and 'reviewing' process?
Are you saying that clicking the centre button allows me to 'fast forward' or 'rewind' a track?

Thanks again...

when a song is playing, press the center button once, and you can scroll to any time in that song. much like dragging the diamond on the song bar in iTunes
