Optimal size of mp3 for anti-skip buffer?

I've read in the forums that the (4g) ipod's buffer is 32mb. I've got some mp3 files (radio recordings) that are about 26.9mb in size (4hrs@16kbps).

When I am playing the mp3, the ipod spins up its hard drive, loads the mp3 into buffer and spins down the hard drive. Everything is ok so far, but when i seek forward/backward in the mp3, the hard drive spins up again. This even happens if i have one 26.9mb mp3 in the playlist.

I know the hard drive doesn't spin up when i do this with smaller/normal songs. Does anyone know the optimal size for songs so the hard drive does not spin up when seeking fwd/bkwd in the song?
