AC adapter + Dock for mini
Hi iPodders!
I'm new here and haven't seen this mentioned, but Maxell has a Universal Recharger Dock (P-3) that works great with the mini and is a good value.
It includes:
- Dock
- AC Adapter (w/standard barrel connector)
- USB cable
- Firewire cable
- 3.5 mm stereo cable for line out
- 3 different dock inserts for various iPods
I see Apple charging $40 US for a mini dock and $30 for an AC adapter and thought some folks might be interested in this.
I bought it online for $22. (Check your favorite retailer)
You don't need your USB sync cable that comes with the mini, so you can take it along with you if you need to connect to another PC, etc. while leaving your home setup intact. Of course, you can also take the dock and AC adapter if you need to charge your mini w/o a PC.

I'm glad I ran into this post. I got it for 25 bucks, including shipping. Had it a couple of weeks now, and overall this is a great value.
The dock isn't quite as nice looking (or heavy) as the apple dock (its very close though), but that's made up for by the cool blue LED light that goes on when you dock your ipod.
The adapter isn't as aesthetically pleasing as Apple's, but it's much, much smaller, which is a major plus. And who looks at a wall charger anyway...
The included cables appear high quality and durable.
This is really a great find for anyone looking for a dock and charger--thanks for posting this thread Igedit!

Generally, I agree with the poster above.
My Blue light flickers from time to time and I'm wondering if anyone else has that problem (is it normal).
