I have an iPod photo which needs to go in for service to Apple, so I bought a mini. When I tried to install it to my computer (Windows), I get the message:

Another version of this product is already installed. Installation of this version cannot continue. To configure or remove the existing version of this product, use Add/Remove Programs on the control panel.

Since I still need the software which is already on the computer when the iPod photo returns, I don't want to uninstall it. Is there any way to make the mini work with my iTunes library so that I can use it while the photo is gone, which was the whole reason for buying it?
