Help After weeks of waiting for my new Ipod it finally arrived (40G).

I even bought a new computer to ensure I met the required spec (Winows XP Home)

As soon as it got here I downloaded all my music and managed it sucessfully update my ipod.

I was doing an update the following day when my computer crashed. Now all I can see on my Ipod is the Apple symbol (although not whole) small dots appear all over screen.

I have tried to do a reset, takes me back to the same fragmented apple. I have tried to reinstal software but computer no loner recognizes the IPOD.

I have tried every help site I can find but can see no one with a similar problem. I can not do anything with it but after 48hrs do not want to have to send it for repair.

Can anyone offer any suggestions, PLEEEEEEEEEEEASE I am going round the bend
