windows 2000 and windows xp
I'm trying to carry files on my ipod between work and home. I have XP at home and 2000 at work. On XP, when I plug the iPod in, a drive automatically pops up in My Computer. At work, I have 2000, and when I plug the iPod in, it'll open iTunes but it won't appear as a drive in My Computer. Does anyone know how to open the iPod as a drive in Windows 2000?

on my computer, you just plug it in, and it works just like xp. Open up the explorer, and see if it shows up as a "removeable drive". If not, check your device manager, and see if theres a small "!" by your connection (firewire card, usb 2.0 card, ect.). It should intigrate just fine. I was able to do so w/ xp professional and w2k.

Have you enabled disk mode on the version of iTunes on the 2000 machine? You access this by clicking on the iPod icon on in the lower right of iTunes.
