How to record the radio onto your ipod

I just got my ipod about a month ago. I have a question...
Is there a way to record the radio directly onto your ipod? Is there certain accessories that I must buy in order to do this? If so, which ones?
I have the new 40 GB Ipod

There is a certain radio program that I listen to and sometimes they have guests on for interviews and I'm not always at home to record them because I'm out at work or wherever.

the iPod currently isn't a recording device, with the exception of the new voice recorder. So no, you can't use it to record radio programs. And if this ability does come available, look for the RIAA to come after apple even more. Such a feature would only increase the ability of users to pirate music, and the music on the radio is usually the cheap #### the recording industry really wants you to buy.

Yes it's true the mods don't like seeing the same message in two difft areas of the forum. ;)

I've merged your threads. You can feel free to delete your second redundant post if you like.

Really? I don't see how that can be a problem with the RIAA when people can just use tape recorders to record off the radio and if they really wanted to bootleg songs, they can do it.

Thanks anyway or the info.

You might want to try this software for recording from the radio. It might not do everything you need but I tried the demo and it looked good enough for me. I'm gonna buy it so I can record shows off of NPR.
