iPod 2.1 and MC9 problems! :(

Since I updated to 2.1 I unistalled MC9 and installed iTunes, for one reason or another I went back to MC9. I imported all my music into MC9 and all files are labelled perfectly, artist, song, album etc.

My problem comes when i transfer the music to my iPod, certain tracks infact about 1/4 of my music files all decide artist is (various artists) even though I have named the artist within MC9 before the transfer.

It didnt do this when I had firmware 2.0.1 but is now. Any Ideas guys as this is really annoying, Im unable to properly browse my files etc.

Cheers

Paul

New 40 gig iPod currently in bin!!

It wont recognise a single artist, it copies and looks like its copying fine and then it completes all 500 songs and then all artist changes to (Multiple artists)

Well if I cant manage to fix this it can stay in the bin!

Sorry for multiple posts but v.tired and getting oh so annoying with this thing.

Removed all artist info and made it blank, removed all Genre info to blank and it now copies the artist names. How very weired and well just buggy :(

hey! are you a poster on the w@mobile forums? the name looks familiar!

anyway, MC9 has been continually developed, and bits and pieces are added all the time. If you right click on the ipod (going from memory here) you should see some context menu - in there if you go exploring, is the option to select what MC9 copies across as the artist field.

Setting it to Artist instead of the default fixes the problem, and all your mp3's should copy across perfectly. theres a thread on this somewhere around here.

Thanks Dave ill try that next time. I did manage to get it to copy across but I had to remove all album info first.

I used to be a regular on WM my ID on there is Maverick, but since the changes ive not used it so much.

Cheers again buddy.
