After iTunes and Firmware update-No Xplay!

I downloaded and installed iTunes for Windows and updated the firmware to 2.1 and now I can't access my iPod files through X-Play.

X-Play launches, but when I open the music folder, it's empty.

Anybody have any ideas here? Am I missing something?

I can't imagine I'm the only person having this problem.

I guess Apple wants you to use their program, but I prefer to manually handle my music, I like the Windows Explorer style interface, and besides--I just forked over thirty bucks for the friggin' thing!

Answers! I need answers!

Any help would be appreciated!

BC,

Mediafour has released an update that addresses the problem:

XPlay 1.1.3 / iTunes 4.1 Compatibility Patch (http://download.mediafour.com/xplay/XPlay_reg_patch_for_iTunes4.1.reg)

You may also want to check out their forum page at Mediafour XPlay Forums (http://forums.mediafour.com/forumdisplay.php?forumid=1)

I installed the patch and it seems to work. You don't get the AAC format support, though.

Good luck!

Thanks Val!

Yeah, I checked out The X Play forums and downloaded the patch.
So, that's one problem solved.

Now if they can fix the disconnecting thing, so I can leave my iPod sitting in the dock and still play music-without having to tie up more resources with iTunes.

We're ALMOST there....
