Oh God. Please help. Major issue!

Hello my friends.

I have a major problem. I was having a big problem transfering songs to my IPOD using Music Match. I held down menu & play/pause to get out of the "Do Not Disconnect" screen that had now froze during my attempt to add songs to my IPOD. When my IPOD came to, it now has no songs listed. NOTHING! Yet when I go to settings, it says 0 Songs, yet all the memory is still taken up from the previous songs that were already on my IPOD (Of a 27.8 Capacity, 21.1 is now available, even though nothing is listed for music).

Here are my stats: I have a 30 GB IPOD. I use Music Match, a Dell PC, Windows ME. Please help! I need to either erase all my music all together and start from scratch, or get those songs/albums to show up on my IPOD. And I'd rather get the songs to appear from before.

As always, your help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Can I use ITUNES to rip cd's and transfer songs to the IPOD? But more importantly, please someone answer my big problem.

Yes, you can use iTunes to do that. You can use iTunes to do everything in MM, only easier and better (IMO). iTunes is much less cumbersome.

Your iPod database got corrupted. You'll need to do a Restore with the updater. They released a new version today, might want to download (http://www.apple.com/ipod/download/) it, install it, then run it. Click on the "Restore" button, not the update button because you need to wipe your iPod clean.

Then, I would recommend you download iTunes from Apple's site and use that to sync.

Uninstall the MMJB iPod Plugin and MMJB completely.
