Just got my 15gb. No power?

Hi Just received my 15gb. Suprising it's not coming on. So I guess I have to charge it. I have connected it to the dock and even tried without it. Nothing shows up on screen. Should it come on or show some sort of signal that it's charging?

Please let me know.

I think I will leave it connected for 4 hours and see if it will begin to work.

You should get the flashing battery icon when it's charging, even if the unit is powered off. Are you drawing power from a firewire slot or from the AC adapter?

I tried both actually. Non works and shows nothing that its charging. I am worried.

When I try to reset the ipod, (I can only do it when it's plugged into the ac) and it shows for 1 second a small icon with a battery and an exclamation mark. I tried all outlets in the house.

Dont know where to go from here.

you don't have to be worried...ask the place where you bought your iPod for an exchange. It seems like your iPod isn't working properly since the stuff you described shouldn't happen

Yes I know. But the thing is I ordered it from the states and I am in Canada. Already paid the shipping and the #### customs fees. It just ####es me off completly. I calculated it exactly for the price. And now if I have to pay more I will kick myself in the ###.

Waited 2 weeks for it too. It's a hassle.

Not very happy at the moment.
