US ipods in the UK

I am going to america in the next couple of weeks and have found out that american ipods are a hell of a lot cheaper on your side of the pond than here in england. Is it worth bringing one back with me. If so, what will I have to do to make sure the american ipod works in england, e.g. accessories, are the ones that I need available in the UK or do I need to get them in america. By the way I will be purchasing a 15GB ipod version 3 model.
P.S. Just to confirm, does the 15B model ( Version 3) come with everything I need for syncing, charging an downloading or do I need to buy these seperately. Thanks a whole lot

GO FOR THE 20GB, its worth the extra expense. Not sure if there's any 15's about now. Think the only thing you'll need is a adaptor plug that changes the charger from 2 pin plug to 3 pin. You'll get one no problem.

I've got a 40GB US model in Greece, and the only thing you will need is a plug adapter (which are cheap and easy to come by).

yeah, the 15GB has been replace for the NEW 20GB size at the same price, so don't get ripped off!

Can you recommend the best place to get a plug adaptor or has anyone found a place that will give one away free with an ipod?

While in the states, just swing by any Radio Shack. Heck, the Wal-Mart near my folk's place has them.

ed_rock, I use a UK iPod in Europe by using a bog standard plug adaptor. You can buy one at the airport to convert from US to UK, or cheaper at your local Maplins. No need to buy an Apple UK adaptor.
