op 95
I know there have been a few bogus images about putting windows operating sytems on your ipod, i know that linux has been released on the ipod, but if somebody can put linux on there, why not something simple like windows 3.1 or windows 95.
I may be pushing my luck about win 95 but surely win 3.1.
The only problems that i thought that may pop up, is trying to enable mouse keys instead of an actual mouse, and getting a cursor to activate stuff. I dont think it would be too hard, but obviously you would have to plug in a firewire graphics card, even if its a crappy one.
Any points on this, and also i would like to find that article about that guy who put win xp on his ipod, lol, that was sooooo funny.
Is it still being hosted at ipodlounge?

ehh...
Don't know where you got the idea that you can run linux on an ipod (if thats what you mean),
Perhaps you're getting confused with the linux ipod project where people have got their ipods to work with their linux machine.
Either way it is pretty impossible to run any kind of windows/linux os on an ipod.
Perhaps I read the question wrong and you meant something else.

I think he means loading the OS on the iPod so he can boot his computer from it. A friend of mine loaded the newest Apple OS (I forget its name) on his iPod so he could check it out.
Obviously (or perhaps not) the iPod itself does not boot the OS. You need to attach it to a computer. The computer then uses the iPod like any other hard drive.

Well at least they tried ;)

And methinks that Windows XP thing was a joke image ;)
