Need Help In Converting From Mac Ipod To Pc Ipod

Try uninstalling the MMJB iPod Plugin and iPod Manager. Then reboot and try the Updater again.

Ok hold on a sec... C.C.R. asked whether special software needed to be installed in order to use IPod on USB. I was under the impression all that is needed for IPod connectivity with USB is that the 'Pod be running the 2.0.1 software and a USB cable from Apple.

Re-reading Jambo's posts he states he has a 3rd Gen 15 gig but in his inital post he says his updater is 1.3 which is for the 1st/2nd Gens.

Jambo make sure you in fact have a 3rd gen and if so that you are running the appropiate updater on the PC side as well as have the proper firmware, 2.0.1
Also make sure it is an Apple IPod USB cable.

Past that just plugging it in should get you connected.

ok, i checked my ipod and yes, im positive that it is a 3rd (according to the FAQ) generation model since it is the 30 GB version and its got the touchpad with the 4 red buttons above it.
i have the Ipod M8948.
i purchased the ipod in August and have been using it on my family mac. but then i figured it be better to start using it on my pc since thats the one i use the most. so i went and purchased the USB cable from the local authorized apple retailer. and the cable is made by apple corp. my ipod is running on v 2.0.1 but when i start that updater and the 1.3 updater, nothing shows, it only says like "please connect ipod". i havnt tried uninstalling the mmjb and the manager since im currently in school...i think that my ipod is now running on the HTFS+ format and i need to change it to the FAT32 format...since i cant restore nor configure my ipod on the pc, it feels that im a bit stuck...=P lol. thanx for the help beforehand nad thanx for the time guys!

yea, the 2.0.1 is the one that comes with on the cd right? cause i got an 2.0.1. software updater but it doesnt spot the ipod. i talked to a apple support dude for more than an hour and he couldnt do anything...strange...
