Impossible! Somebody PLEASE help me!
OK, i just bought my ipod and a USB dock connector(I'm using USB 1.1) . I plugged it into my PC (Windows ME) and an icon appeared with an Apple Ipod in the USB drive.
I goto install the software and eventually i come to the configuration option. I click yes to configure my new ipod and nothing happends. I click it about a million times and STILL nothing happends
So i try to detect the ipod with music match AND audible. No ipod found. Not even the ipod manager which was installed on my comp detected it...SO im sitting here very frustrated wondering what am i doing wrong?

Well, MMJB and Audible aren't going to recognize it because it's not formatted as a Windows iPod right now. It's formatted as a Mac iPod (they all come that way). The setup process you're trying to follow converts the drive to FAT32.
You do know that USB1.1 is going to be super painful...right? In terms of speed.
The only option I could give you is to try formatting the drive in My Computer (right-click, select Format, do a quick format) and then try the updater again.
