Hamrmon Kardon Speakers for Mac

Ok i'm a PC user who recently bought a Sony Vaio, but wishes he's gone for a Mac instead.

Anyway my old philips A2 500 have just gone kaput and died, becasue the stupid power intake has come lose and fallen back into the subwoofer. I can't fix them as i need a 6 inch + star shaped screw driver and i dont have one and can't be bothered to buy one. Also i could do with a nice new speaker system for christmas anyway.

I was wondering is there anyway for a PC user to use the Harmon Kardon speakers (the 2.1 system that says its for Mac only). Here is a pic:

This is a USB based music system and i want to know why i cant use them? I have 4 USB 2.0 ports so data speed is no issue bearing in mind most Mac's are currently still USB 1.1.

Is it merely a case that the software drivers (not drivers where the sound comes out of) don't exisit? I'm not the most technically minded person, but would there be anyway to create a set of windows drivers for them or has anyone else done this?

Please any advice and feedback would be great!

This is truley GREAT NEWS!

I just went on to the amazon.co.uk site and the amazon.com site and read 2 reviews both saying that one person managed to get these speakers to work with Win XP (at amazon.co.uk) and another saying that they worked with Win 2K (at amazon.com).

However i am still warey of this and will be buying my soundsticks from John Lewis, asking what there return policy is just incase, so i can have the siffiest PC Speakers in the WORLD!!!!!!!!

:)
