I dun get it now? So is Napster to a Peer to Peer networking program?

If it is, then how then do they charge? I don't believe they can charge us from downloading from another user right? Even if they are, its not fair coz some bugger just do not check their MP3 files. Some even encode to the lowest you can find.

If they are not and they are charging us for downloading from their database, then what the hell is the share files with other users for?

I'm not sure but the sharing feature on the new napster is probably similar to the share feature on iTunes- you can listen to other people's music on your network through iTunes, but you can't save or send the files, just play the songs.

Uh, Pretty sure that its just a pure music store. They're just using the name because it is well known and sounds better than 'Microsoft Music Store' or something.

It's just a music store masquerading under Napster's old name. File type is WMA; it's pretty much useless to ipodders. Not to be confused with the old Napster; this is a totally different animal that bought the old Napster name.

I think it's sad how Napster has been bought out and "resurected" into something Microsoft approves of. I know this isn't a popular sentiment around here, but when the original free Napster came out I thought it was the greatest thing ever. To bring it back and make it a crappy pay site (not that all pay sites are crappy) destroys the whole purpose of Napster.
