well DUH.....its like saying i went to the movies....and most of the money went to the movie studio. its also the same situation as buying CDs. these 99 cent songs are not intended to rectify the music industry practices. instead it is supposed give consumers a choice to pick which song they want instead of buying the whole thing. but i do agree that artist are def. getting a bad deal. also what the the downhillbattle saying about lossy quality music store is flawed. it tells you do download the song and send them a buck. but the version u downloaded is also lossy. on top of that it probably sound even worse than the downloaded version. and with all the fakes on kazaa....its usually just easier to give the 99 cents.

Good point, lilmoonee. Many people seem to think that in an ideal world, we'd just give all the money for a recording to the artist who created it. But it's slightly dodgy to say you want to support the artist, but not the industry which made it possible for you to hear about them, isn't it?
