Sorry to post without direct experience, but I *sincerely* doubt it'd be worth it.1) It records in 8khz mono.
2) The mic is best at <10 feet. Read the iPodlounge review.
3) Dynamic Range. The VOICE recorder's mic certainly is not optimized for 20-20000Hz ;)
4) Recording levels. For live recording, you're going to want adjustable levels. Belkin doesn't have it.

It's a ####e microphone and speaker anyway, Belkin well saw me coming when I bought it from them. And as if they even suggested that the speaker was so good I may even want to listen to music through it. Who were they kidding? Me obviously.awheewall at 2007-11-15 16:10:44 >

Now this is an old thread... ;)The new iPods should be WONDERFUL for bootlegging shows, with their full-quality audio recording. All we need is new microphones designed to work with the dock port.
