***Official 3G iTrip Thread***

For those of you that have got theirs in the mail, what do you think so far? Have you found any clear stations in your area? If so, what station and where are you from?

I'm in Los Angeles, and unfortunately here, almost 99% of the radio stations here are taken. I have, however, found a pretty good station at 106.9. It isn't exactly KROQ (106.7), but you can still hear that radio station if you don't have your iTrip on. For the most part, the music is pretty clear when the iPod is playing.

Now the annoying thing is that if I move the iTrip around in my car, I will almost immediately get static.   Also the fact that sometimes I get too carried away with the music, I'd maximize the iPod on full blast and only get static, realizing that the iTrip can't handle volumes greater than 80%. :(

Overall, I guess I am somewhat pleased with the iTrip. The static thing is still kind of annoying when I move the iPod around, but the quality is pretty good.

The iTrip gets 7 stars out of 10 for me.

What do you guys think? I'm thinking of investing in a cassete/AC adapter and try it with my iPod instead to relieve the static problems. There may be wires, but at least the quality will be close to perfect.

This should be moved to the gear section.

Have you tried this? No, its not for everyone but I think there's no reason not to try it. Its free, easy, and can't hurt...

As there are enough threads on the iTrip already on the go, I'm closing this one.
