EphPod problems?

I recently bought the latest 40gb ipod and have generally been very impress! so far i have downloaded about 1500 songs successfully but just recently i've been having problems.

I use the EphPod programme to do the copying to the ipod because you can manually change all the tags, its quick and quite straight forward, but the last few CD's i have downloaded havent come out properly. I do the usual and rip them to the ipod, no problem, but when i go to listen to the tracks it come out with another song from a completely different album??? This has happened alot in the last few weeks and really pi$$ing me off.

Any idea's or solutions would be greatly appreciated!!!

Somehow your iPod's database is corrupted. I suggest doing a Restore and then reuploading all your tunes.

that's gotta be bull####.
I'm getting the same problem. I used ephpod for about a year with my 2nd gen ipod and no problems. Now I've got a 3rd gen, it starts acting like some dodgy program. Sometimes during an upload it will get to say 40% of a track (esspecially long ones), and then go to -20% and then continue until it gets to around 30% etc. and then say complete. Then when I listen to it it's a different track, while it should be say 50 mins long, it's a 3 min track and the ipod stops the song when it finishes (with 47 mins left on the clock.)
To me it doesnt seem as though my ipods database is anything to do with it, as I can delete the track and try again, sometimes it works (even with the funny minus percent problem). Ehpod is just a silly little program, if only I could upgrade to iTunes...but WHERE did ephpod save all my id3 tags??

Ephpod doesn't save id3 tags. That's one of the big problems with it (IMO).

Can't tell you why it's not working, I don't believe that with the release of iTunes for Windows ephpod is even being worked on anymore. I know that Joe Masters (the creator) was working on Moodlogic and from what I've seen there haven't been any updates since the 2.70 release which was way before iTunes.
