Can not sync with IPOD
Please help. I can rip and use MediaCenter 9 perfectly except I cannot sync with my IPOD to get any music on it. Everytime I connect my IPOD it says do not disconnect and then when I drop music into "handheld" it says ok to disconnect and am unable to transfer music to IPOD. I cannot see my IPOD in MC or in my computer for more than a second or two before it disconnects. However I am able to sync with Jukebox without difficulty. I am running USB 2.0 . Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

The problem is that silly iPod Manager that gets installed w/MMJB.
Open it up (Start>Programs>iPod>iPod Manager) and make sure that "Enable Firewire Disk Mode" is checked.
I recommend uninstalling it as it's not needed, but if you're going to keep using MMJB, you can keep it installed.

I uninstalled MMJB but...my computer still only recognizes my IPOD for a few seconds and then disconnects it...I get an error message... "There was a problem installing this hardware Apple IPOD USB device... One of the filter drivers installed for this device is invalid." I received this message before when I had USB 1.1 and could not sync my IPOD to anything...I was told to upgrade to 2.0 and the message would go away and I would be able to sync...true I can now sync to ITUNES and MMJB but not MediaCenter. I have uninstalled MMJB ipod plugin and MMJB as per your instructions however when I try Formatting the IPOD for MC I see E: IPOD for only a few seconds and then the above filter error message:confused: I am running XP Thank you so much for your help.

Thank you so much that did it! I can now sync my IPOD with MC :D :D :D I enabled disk mode on the IPOD Manager and it now shows up in MC and My Computer. May you live a 1000 years!

Yeah, if you're not going to use MMJB, just get rid of iPod Manager. It's not needed at all and just get's in the way of your connection.
Uninstall it, that's what I recommend.
