Repeating Genre

Ok im not 100% sure if this is an ipod prob or from xplay (which i used to transfer the files accross) but here goes

When i select by genre i seem to have
Hip-Hop
Hip - Hop
Hip-Hop
Hip - Hop
Hip-Hop
Hip - Hop

as above about 5 times or so. They all have the same songs in them when i select any one of them. It is very annoying.
Any ideas?

Im using a 20gig 2nd Gen ipod rev 1.3 and Xplay 1.1.3

Yes, fix your tags in your songs and then reupload them. Or using Xplay, just access the songs on the iPod and correct the Genre tags.

Ok i have just opend up all the files in id3 tag-it ans ordered them by genre and they are all the same genre "hip-hop" (no space). I have allready taken them all off and made sure they were ok then put them back on. The only dif i can tell is that some use IDv1 and some use IDv2. This is the only genre it happens for.
