IPod Software Already Running Error

I want to synch my Ipod with MM but I get the error - IPod software is currently running and can't be shut down. Please manually shut down the software and retry. I have NO IDEA what I'm supposed to be shutting down. Any help would be appreciated.

hmmm maybe you need to 'unmount' the ipod from the ipod manager if you have that.Debaser at 2007-11-15 17:19:45 >

right-click on the ipod manager icon in the system tray, a little menu pops up, on the top it should say 'unmount ipod', click that.if it says 'mount ipod' that means the ipod is already unmounted.
