EphPod/MusicMatch conflict

I have been using EphPod for a while now, and for some reason MusicMatch keeps including itself in the transfer process, by opening and searching for hardware whenever I connect my ipod to the computer. This wouldn't be a problem except that it literally takes twenty minutes for it to search and locate the device, and I can't disconnect the ipod until this happens. So as a result, the battery has often gone out on me before I even was able to disconnect.

Is there any way I can change this? I'd prefer not to have to remove MusicMatch, because I still use it to rip MP3s...I just want to be able to use EphPod exclusively for ipod transfers. I'm wondering if there is a setting I need to change in either program? Any ideas?

Pburani - I have told you once before you should definitely NOT post the same message twice.
