codes of file error information

I finish of doing a transference from MC 9.1.279 to my Ipod that was empty. On having finished the synchronization me there appears a so called window 'File Error Information' with this advice: "The following is a list of files that failed to transfer with an error code" and then the list of files:

I:\My music\Eagle-Eye Cherry\Are you still having fun.mp3 - 2
I:\My music\Phillip Glass\Temple of gilden pavillion.mp3 - 23
I:\My music\Zombies\Groenlandia.mp3 - 2
Etc, etc,...

But I do not have information on error codes (2, 23 and others). What they mean these codes? How to correct these failures? There is a list of all these error codes?

First, try updating your library. Click on File>Library>Update Library. Make sure the "Remove Files that Don't Exist" option is checked. This won't delete music files off your PC, so don't worry.

Then, resync. It will go very fast since most of your tunes are already on the PC.

I don't recall what those error codes are. Steve might know. You might want to post over at the JRiver Board (http://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php?board=3). Make sure to post in the thread "POST IPOD SUPPORT QUESTIONS HERE".

One of them (-23) I seem to recall being a "Disk Write" failure which typically means you have a firewire card that doesn't work well with the iPod. But post over there just to make sure. Steve will get back to you.

Just list the errors as you did here.
