2 Ipods One Computer

Just bought his/hers 20 Gig 3G iPods. Have installed mine OK using the supplied CD. Since you are reqd to enter the serial number plus CD Code i cant use my CD. question is will XP Pro allow me to use my wifes CD since the iPod Manager is the same version?. i am extremely nervous at the moment as we are just recovering from a terminal crash ( faulty memory stick). The moral is BACKUP. Any ideas?
Thanks

You should be able to use the same install of iPod Manager and everything on your wife's iPod. You shouldn't to install the software again. Just connect her iPod, and click on Restore to get the iPod set up for windows.

Hi Dave

I know its a coupla days since u posted, so u may not need this, but i used this guide for setting up EAC/LAME:

http://www.gamingforce.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=878

to give him credit, i found this on recommendation from Godcha.

ephpod is easy-as-pie, at least i thought so, there is plenty of help on the forum if u need.

take care, hope u and your wife are enjoying ur ipods!

Hi splodgcat,
I'd looked at many sites regarding the set up of EAC/LAME but the site you suggested solved a problem.Don't put any spaces in the instruction in the command line or you'l end up with WAV files.Yep can vouch for that.
