MC9.1 Out of Beta
It's official folks. JimH posted over at the JRiver boards that version 9.1.269 is the final build of 9.1. It's released.
Anyone that's on 9.0 can click on Help>Check for Updates and they'll get the updated version.
And welcome to the new-world-order. ;)

# 1 Re: MC9.1 Out of Beta
I got tired of hearing Adam yappin' on about MC9.1 :) and decided to give it a try. And because I had used up my free trial a while back on the last version, I had to buy it sight-unseen for $40.
Well I gotta tell ya folks, this kicks butt!! I have MMJB 8, Ephpod and Xplay, each of which has its good points, but MC9.1 is the hands down winner. It does it all and does it BETTER.
For Audible / iPod users, look no further. MC9.1 lets you manage, play and transfer MP3 music files AND Audible files from within a single application and in one easy step!
For me, it was well worth the price, and I highly recommend checking out the free 30 day demo.

looks like .269 wasn't it after all... .270 is out now.. :)
# 3 Re: MC9.1 Out of Beta
Jpfeffer, did that build fix the bug you posted about? I read your thread before this one. I'm at work so I can't d'l the new build until later.
# 4 Re: MC9.1 Out of Beta
hmm well I haven't gotten it yet.. I am at work too.. I sure hope it does.. :)
I did just get 268 last night.. so it might be exactly that.. :) I just looked at the jriver boards.. looked like everyone who had .268 had it too... It was mentioned in the fix list I think for .269.. so hopefully .270 inherited it.. :) We'll see tonight.

Oh, and I also listened to you and bought it sight unseen as my trial had expired. It's by far the best 40 bucks I have ever spent.

Build 269 was the official release. Thanks, Adam, for posting here.
270 has some minor fixes. There will be 2 or 3 more such builds over the next several days.
Best to download here:
http://www.musicex.com/mediacenter/download.html
Builds on the Interact MC 9 board will be newer, but perhaps riskier.
When you run Check for Updates in MC, it will only report the official build (the one on the download page).
Thanks for all your ideas and support.

Jim, keep it up. I love the program.
Adam, Your yapping does help. :D
# 10 Re: MC9.1 Out of Beta
I have been using MC9 for awhile and how the made the playcounts work was amazing, I do need some help getting it to kind of mesh all together.
Adam (god of iPods and MC9) what is a good way of using playcounts with the iPod?
On another note, Adam's helped a lot of folks around here on the boards with iPods, MC9, Xplay etc... Your the man Adam, plain and simple!

hehe, thanks Todd.
Well, there's really nothing to it to "make it work". Just click on the iPod Toolbar icon to launch the sync dialog. Make sure the sync iPod to MC option is checked and do your sync. Playcounts will come over automatically.
I haven't used them yet in Smartlists except for a "Top 100 list". There's already one of those in the Auto-Smartlists I think. Last Played is great to use. I think I give an example of that in my Sticky at the top (announcing Playcounts, Ratings etc.). I use Last Played to rotate my tunes on some of my playlists.
Oh, and Timmy: wouldn't that be "Yaking" not yapping in your case. ;)

Adam, luckily I haven't been doing that much lately. Ohh you mean yaking as in talking. Oops. ;)
