How to import Windows Media files to iTunes?
I've searched the forum, but can't find anything that specifically addresses this. I've tried dragging and dropping and "add file to library"...the operation looks successful since a "+" appears during dragging/dropping, but none of those files end up in my iTunes library.
Many thanks :)

iTunes = Apple
Windows Media = Microsoft
Sorry to say but you can't. Apple just won't support wmf files!

Thanks for the quick reply - guess that settles the import issue.
Is there a good conversion utility available for this?

NOT POSSIBLE. A convertion program would do the job, but remember that quality degrades.
Musicroom :D

If you really must import your WMA collection, what i have done was convert all my files to WAV and then importing it into iTunes to convert it to a similar or lower bitrate AAC file.
This should offer the least degredation in sound but it requires you to retag all your WMA files because they are lost during the WAV conversion.

Yes there is. dbPower Amp Music Converter can literally convert anything to anything. They have even recently developed a Real media converter.

You will need to download the music converter and then go to thier codec central to download whatever codecs you need
