purchased music wont transfer to ipod

For some reason, one song I purchased from the itunes music store will not transfer to my ipod upon sync. I get a message that the song is not capable of being played on my ipod. The format of the song is AAC and other purchased music transferred without a problem. What gives?

Rookie mistake. I didn't have the latest version of ipod updated.
