iTunes trick

apple click on the mac. Virtually every command that can be done on the mac in iTunes with the apple button can be done on windows with the control button.

Work around perhaps for your removing selected songs. click on all the songs you want to uncheck. Drag them in one swoop to a new playlist. Select the playlist and control click in there. Then you could delete the playlist.

Not the cleanest way, but may work for you.

maybe I'm reading the question wrong, but doesn't option+apple key plus clicking a checkbox select all/deselect all?

Well I'd say if you have a bunch of songs you want to deselect in a playlist in some ways it's "easier" to just click the checkbox of each one as you go... Any other way you have to select them all and then press a command to get them done. Extra step in a way, ne?

what's funny to me about this trick, I learned it before I learned how the playlists worked! - I used it to exclude albums from playing when I was randomizing while playing my library!
