live updating smartplaylists

I have created a smart playlist of all of my songs that I have not rated yet, so that I can just listen through those songs and rate them as i go. The only way I can figure to do this is to uncheck the 'Live updating' button as otherwise when i give a song a rating it just stops the playlist and i have to go back in to itunes and start the playlist again.

Is there a way around this that I am missing? Is there any way to rate a song so that it automatically moves the song off the playlist and carries on playing? or even a way to rate the song and then at the end of a day update the playlist and all those newly updated songs could get moved out?

Cheers

The live updating is the very way to do that. I keep a playlist of all songs not rated with live updating on. When I get a bunch in there [after another wallet draining trip to the cd store], I turn live updating off and get to work. When I'm done, I turn it back on and the list clears.

ahh, so it is simply a case of editing the smart playlist and switching live updating on and off! I knew there must be something simple! Cheers Mike

If you do what you originally proposed on the iPod, it will work perfectly.
