AAC and Album cover images

I noticed that if I group select the AAC files and drop the images into the main screen on the bottom left, the AAC file sizes remain the same. However, if I group select and add it in Get Info, the file sizes change.The images are added to the files themselves, but since they're probably not very big, you probably won't notice the change in iTunes. If you look at the actual number of bytes in a file before and after adding artwork in Explorer, you should see an increase.
